Do It Yourself + help from JASON MARTIN DESIGN is an easy and inexpensive way to design a space.

Ideal for those who want a more economical approach to design or those who may not need the full service* use of Jason Martin Design, DIY+ allows the progress of the project to be customized to the client’s own needs.  By working with the client over email and phone conversations  we can create a custom package for each individual design project.

DIY+ PACKAGE

Package includes the following:

DIY+ PLAN BOOK

The DIY+PLAN BOOK is an easy to use portable detailed binder for the client

to use to complete the project in their own time. The PLAN BOOK consists of

the following items (depending on project and as needed):

•Overall design aesthetic presentation and notes

•Paint, material and finish options

•Tear sheets and information on furniture options

•Samples of fabric options

•Tear sheet and information on lighting and accessory options

•Detailed resource list  of items

DIY+ CONSULTATION

The DIY+ CONSULTATION consists of a Preparatory Consultation (30 minutes

to one hour, depending on package) to discuss the project and any details

or questions the client may want to go over.  Also included is a Completion

Consultation (30 minutes to one hour) to discuss the PLAN BOOK and any

details or follow up questions the client may have once the finished

PLAN BOOK has been received. Notes from both discussions will be emailed

to the client for future reference. A PLAN BOOK progress report via email

from the designer is also included in the package.  Please note that

additional phone consultation time is available for an hourly rate (see menu

of DIY+ options).  All consultations must be scheduled with the designer and

are based on availability of the designer. 

NOT INCLUDED IN DIY+ PACKAGE

The following are not included in the individual packages but available at

additional cost and may include the need for other professional services.

Lead Time – Approximately 4 weeks per room.

Payment –  In full payment must be received before design work begins.

Completion – With a preparatory consultation, a completion consultation

      and progress reports along the way, we expect a very positive

      outcome for the design.  Although we do not offer refunds

      once the package has been received, we do everything possible to

      make sure the client will be happy with the design before it gets

      to them.
